Thousands of small businesses across London are being offered the chance to attend a series of events to help them grow and thrive.

Five business shows funded by London Growth Hub will be delivered by Enterprise Nation across the capital this summer.

The University of Greenwich will be hosting one such event for local businesses in September.

The day-long sessions will be a chance for businesses to speak directly with qualified advisers and funding institutions as well as an opportunity pick up tips and contacts and hear seasoned entrepreneurs speak about their experiences.

Jon Sibson, Pro-Vice Chancellor at the University's Faculty of Business, said: "We're really pleased to be hosting the London Growth Hub Business Roadshow in Greenwich on 14 September.

"Greenwich is an enterprising part of London, and we have many entrepreneurial students and graduates here at the University.  We look forward to deepening our connections with local businesses and welcoming you to our beautiful campus."

Deputy Mayor for Business, Rajesh Agrawal, said: "We want to help small companies in the capital flourish, which is why we set up the London Growth Hub, which aims to simplify the business landscape for entrepreneurs and established companies. This latest initiative will help London's diverse community of entrepreneurs gain advice and expertise in everything from digital marketing and communications to how to navigate the uncertainty around Brexit."

Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation, added: "We know small businesses come in all shapes and sizes. They want online support, but they are also looking for real connections in their local area, to know what's out there that they might need now or later, and to meet with peers face-to-face. These shows are designed to offer information from experts and advisers, as well as connecting founders to each other."Find out more about the work of the Growth Hub and reserve a free place at the Greenwich event now.
