The service, offered by the Alumni and Development team aims to establish direct networks between students and alumni. Similar to LinkedIn, Ask Alumni's members are all part of the University of Greenwich community.
You can apply to join the platform using your LinkedIn credentials as this information is used to complete your Ask Alumni profile. You can also register using your Facebook credentials or personal email address if you're not already using LinkedIn.
Once you've registered you can search the members' directory for alumni e-mentors using a range of criteria including industry, skills or the type of support available.
Members can connect through the platform and you can even set up meetings via Skype or in person. In addition to offering industry-specific advice, alumni might also make introductions at their workplace or via their connections.
The Alumni and Development Team are also developing a range of groups so members can network based on specific interests and demographics.
