We are delighted to welcome Rose Lumumba, joining us live from Nairobi, Kenya, to deliver her talk:
“Beyond the Monolith – Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), Governance, and Global Impact.
This session builds on our recent International Women’s Day feature, "Leading with Intersectionality," published on the portal on 9 March 2026.
Rose Lumumba is a Senior Corporate Governance Officer in the Corporate Governance Unit, Institutional Risk and Governance Department at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group. She is also a Senior Expert in ESG, specialising in high-impact governance interventions across Sub-Saharan Africa. From regulatory code reform to board effectiveness, Rose has been instrumental in shaping how sustainable business practices and inclusive governance drive economic development. She will share her unique insights into navigating power structures within multilateral organisations and advancing the "Governance of Inclusion."
Join us for this inspiring session as Rose illuminates the opportunities and challenges of fostering inclusive governance in a rapidly changing global landscape. She will offer practical reflections on leadership, resilience, and influence, encouraging us to rethink how we show up, advocate for equity, and shape impact within our own spheres. Whether you work in professional services, research, leadership, or student-facing roles, this session promises to spark meaningful dialogue and deepen our collective understanding of what inclusive global leadership can look like.
