Happy students have voted the University of Greenwich up 43 places in this year's Whatuni Student Choice awards. Greenwich made the huge leap up to 42nd place in the Uni of the Year category.

Greenwich also climbed eight places to 13th in the UK in the international ranking, while postgraduate saw a rise of 37 places to 12th.

The university's accommodation went up 87 places to 31, while the Students' Union is 17th in the UK, a rise of 29 places from last year.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Jane Harrington said: "These results are very encouraging, especially as they were voted for by our students. They are at the heart of everything we do here and we will continue working hard to give them the best possible education and experience at Greenwich."

The annual report sees existing students write reviews of their university experiences to help future students find the right university, and to help the universities continually improve.
