The rainbow flag of Pride is bringing a splash of colour to SE10 this month, with help from the University of Greenwich.
The university partnered with the Royal Borough of Greenwich, the Old Royal Naval College, and Greenwich Hospital on a temporary installation at the pedestrian crossing on College Approach.
The crossing is painted in the Pride flag colours, with stripes running kerb to kerb for the full length of the crossing.
Representatives of the university LGBT staff network joined officers and staff from Students' Union and the Chief Operating Officer, Pete Taylor, to celebrate the occasion.
Vice Chancellor of the University of Greenwich, Professor David Maguire, said: "We are proud to sponsor the Pride crossing on College Approach, which is in the heart of Greenwich and right next to our campus. The university is open, inclusive and diverse and stronger as an institution as a result."
Other crossings have been installed in Woolwich and Plumstead to celebrate Pride.
