The Lower Deck and Sports Deck in Dreadnought's basement opens on Monday 8 October

TLDRoffon

The Sports Deck is our first gym on Greenwich campus, and is free to use during October, while the Lower Deck, run and managed by the Students' Union contains a bar and event space.

The Sports Deck will open at 7am on Monday

It is free of charge for October, but for peak times please book onto a session using the links below:

You're welcome to come and have a look round at any time we're open - you'll need your Greenwich Gateway card to get in.  If we're quiet and you have your kit, you're welcome to work out, but if we're busy we'll ask you to book on a session or come back when we're quieter.

Everyone who uses the Sports Deck must fill in a health questionnaire before their first workout, unless you have membership at Avery Hill (please bring your membership card).  Medway members can use the Sports Deck in October for free, but will need to pay a top up to continue using this from November onwards.

For more information about the Sports Deck please see its webpage.

Please note: Please wear trainers and gym kit to work out (not jeans) and bring a towel.

The Sports Deck's opening hours are:

  • Monday - Friday: 7am - 9pm
  • Weekends: 9am - 5pm

The Lower Deck

The Lower Deck is run and managed by the Students' Union and contains a bar and event space.  The bar will be open 12pm - 12am Monday to Sunday all year round, staying open later on event nights.

It will offer high quality and great value food, drinks and entertainment in a unique venue.   As a Students' Union outlet, and part of a not-for-profit organisation, all the money made goes back into the Students' Union to provide services and activities for students at the university.
