The Quiet and Silent Zones in Drill Hall Library are now closed until early August.
Our Group Zones will remain open for you to use throughout this time, with 42 PCs and modular furniture, study booths, sofas and height adjustable desks to offer flexible options for your studies.
Our teams will keep disruption to a minimum, although some of the work may cause some noise in parts of the library. If you need a quieter area to study, please speak to our staff who will support you.
Library staff will help you access books this summer
Our library team will help you access books located in the Quiet and Silent Zones over the summer.
- Select items from the library catalogue and complete a book retrieval request form available at the reception.
- Hand the form to staff at the reception and a member of staff will assist you.
Once you receive the items requested you can add them to your Library account using our self-service machines, as usual.
What's changing
We're installing new modular furniture and updated shelving as part of this update, and our new cabinets for our LapSafe Loan service have already been delivered ready for the service to be available in Drill Hall Library from September.
