In partnership with the British Heart Foundation (BHF), we have been running the End of Term Reuse Project since 2011. The project encourages students to donate items to the BHF's Pack for Good campaign, rather than throw away things that others could use.
Pack For Good is the BHF University Campaign raising money to save lives and helping the planet all at the same time.
Our impact
Greenwich students living in halls have donated 42 tonnes of items since 2010. This has also saved over 375,000 kg of carbon emissions by the reuse and recycling of items.
In the past three years, these items have gone to the BHF, and through student donations this has raised over £47,000 to help fund lifesaving research.
What can I donate?Clean items only! Examples include:

What about food?
We have partnered with local Food Banks who can help. Only non-perishable food, collect all these items throw everything else.
Bag up your donated food options and leave them in the food boxes (not the red boxes):
- Unopened tins
- Unopened cans
- Unopened dry foods (rice, cereal, pasta, bars etc.)
Where can I donate?
Around all three campuses there will be red boxes/food boxes inside or red clothing banks outside. Please put all items into bags and then leave the bag in either the bank or the box.
