Enterprise Challenge 2026/27 launches - applications now open

The Generator officially launched the Enterprise Challenge 2026/27 this week, with a full house of students coming together to hear from previous winners, explore new ideas and find out how they can turn those ideas into something real.

A black man addressing a gathering of young people with a big television screen displaying parts of a presentationThe Generator team hosted the event, with previous Enterprise Challenge winners sharing their experiences and advice. Tegan Bernard, founder of Poptails, spoke about her journey after winning the Commercial Category and £2,000 last year, while Thankgod Izime and Daniel Mbajiaku, the team behind UltraApp, shared their experience of going on to win the overall £5,000 prize.

There was a fantastic atmosphere in the room, with lots of ideas being shared and students beginning to think about what they could develop through this year’s Challenge.

And if you couldn’t make the launch, it’s definitely not too late.

You can catch up with content from the event on The Generator’s YouTube channel and social media, which you can access here: https://linktr.ee/gre_generator

Feel free to get in touch with the team at generator@greenwich.ac.uk, or simply go ahead and submit an application.

The Enterprise Challenge is open to students with a business idea, those thinking about freelancing or self-employment, and those already developing something they want to take further. Participants can access support from The Generator throughout the process, with the opportunity to compete for up to £5,000 in funding.

Applications close on 22 November 2026.
