Continuing Students: Emptying your Deleted Items folder in Outlook
We have switched the Gmail mailboxes of our continuing students to Outlook Online as a part of the Student Email Project so that we now have a single platform for everything in Microsoft 365 with far better integration.
We’ve already shared guidance on how to connect after the move, including how to double check your security settings and access your Outlook Mailbox.
Over time, the contents of the Deleted Items folder can consume a large amount of space on your computer or email server storage quota. To keep your Outlook working smoothly, email messages in your Deleted Items folder will be automatically permanently deleted after 30 days, from 6 July, in line with our policy for acceptable use of email, internet and cloud facilities. You don’t need to do anything to prepare for this change, it will happen automatically from 6 July onwards.
