GOLD: A flexible route to professional recognition
GOLD offers a flexible route to professional recognition for all academic and professional services staff in higher education
GOLD, the University of Greenwich's Advance HE accredited professional recognition scheme, provides national and international recognition for individuals committed to developing and maintaining professionalism and leadership in teaching, as well as enhancing the learning experience of students.
Types of fellowship
Recognised by HESA as a teaching qualification, it aligns with Advance HE's Professional Standards Framework (PSF) and offers three categories of fellowship -
- Associate Fellow
- Fellow
- Senior Fellow.
While GOLD itself does not award Principal Fellow, it offers support to those seeking Principal Fellow recognition through a direct application to Advance HE.
Learn more about GOLD
Our GOLD scheme fosters professional development through peer and mentor dialogue, sharing good practices, and critical reflection. It is a mentor supported scheme, where you will work with a trained GOLD mentor to develop an application that is then submitted to our team. Our scheme is recommended for those that already have experience with supporting, delivering, and/or leading in teaching and learning in higher education.
