We're looking for inspirational Student Ambassadors with GREat Skills (applications close 22/2)

TLDRoffon

If you want to be part of a team that helps young people in schools and colleges across London and Medway to succeed at university, then apply to be one of our GREat Skills Ambassadors.

GREat Skills is an initiative led by the Education Support Unit being offered to Level 3 students in identified schools and colleges across London and Medway. The main aims are to support the development of academic skills and help participating students to prepare for the transition to university. It includes a series of interactions with the same groups of Level 3 students, mainly in the form of academic skills workshops delivered by GREat Skills Ambassadors in school or college, but also includes some campus visits.

We are looking for inspirational Ambassadors who want to:

  • Make a difference
  • Enhance their employability skills; being part of a team, communicating with clients and stakeholders, planning and prioritising own workload
  • Gain valuable experience working with young people
  • Take part in a variety of large scale on-campus events (Launch, taster days, HE days)

You will need to:

  • Want to be part of a team that will make a positive impact on helping young people (16-18 year olds) to succeed at university
  • Have strong academic skills including research, referencing and essay writing
  • Be able to communicate complex information in an engaging and clear way
  • Commit to regular work (dependent on ambassador availability and demand from schools and colleges)
