Join us for the Innocence Project London Symposium - 25 March

The 2026 annual Innocence Project London symposium will be held on Wednesday 25 March from 4–7pm at the University of Greenwich.

11_0004 Stockwell Street

The event will be held at lecture theatre 11_0004 Stockwell Street and will be followed by networking over drinks and nibbles until 8.30pm.

Our symposium

This year's guest speaker is Tom Hayes, a former UBS and Citigroup trader who was initially convicted in 2015 of conspiracy to defraud related to the LIBOR rate-rigging scandal. In 2025, the Supreme Court overturned his conviction, ruling it 'unsafe' due to improper jury directions.

Tom will be speaking on wrongful convictions, student casework and networking.

Students working for the Innocence Project London will also be talking about their casework.

Why join

If you are a student at the University of Greenwich and are interested in applying to work for the Innocence Project London, then the symposium is a great opportunity to hear about the type of work you could be doing.

If you are interested in how miscarriages of justice occur and how students learn about the criminal legal system from innocence work, then this event will also be of interest to you.
