Daniel Asipavicius, Student Ambassador Assistant

We spoke to Daniel Asipavicius, who helps to run the Student Ambassador scheme here at Greenwich, about what it takes to be a top Student Ambassador.

Over to Daniel:

The secret ingredients to become a top Student Ambassador are a passion for the university, a positive attitude, professionalism, the ability to work in a team, appreciation and strong interpersonal skills.

We have a team of 350 Student Ambassadors who work with potential students to share what life at our university is like, what it means to be a student and to encourage them to study here.

Our Student Ambassadors have an amazing chance to support the work of staff across the university and develop valuable networks. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of commonly used graduate recruitment techniques and a broad range of work opportunities available at all campuses. The role is also a flexible, paid, part-time position, so it can easily fit around your studies.

It's your chance to empower others by sharing your knowledge and experiences as a student.

It is an amazing chance to build your communication and professional skills. You can also gain employability and mentoring support, from a team who cares about your career development as much as you do! You'll develop your own professional network and can gain valuable references, to help you stand out from other applicants in your future career.
