This campaign led by UUK is in response to a technical note issued by the government on the future of the UK's membership of the Erasmus+ programme in the case of a no-deal Brexit.
- Every year some 17,000 British students study abroad on Erasmus+ placements
- 600,000 students have done so in the past 30 years
Research shows that students who go abroad to study get better degrees and better jobs
The Erasmus+ programme is responsible for around half of all study and work abroad programmes for UK students. If we lose access to it, we want a UK scheme to take its place. Otherwise more than 17,000 students a year will miss out on opportunities they would have had through Erasmus+. Cutting this funding will disproportionately harm students from less privileged backgrounds.
The aim of the campaign is to show the impact of studying and working abroad, the great experiences students have while away and the lifelong benefits provided by an international experience.Find out how you can support #SupportStudyAbroad
