The Graduate Outcomes survey is live – Cohort B

Help us reach graduates who completed between November 2024 and January 2025.

Graduates who completed a higher education course between November 2024 and January 2025 (Cohort B) will be receiving an email to the online survey from 1 March 2025 onwards. The deadline to complete the survey is 31 May 2026.

The Graduate Outcomes Survey, which is conducted by HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency) via email or phone, takes place four times a year and graduates are split into four cohorts based on the end date of their studies. Surveys are based on a census week and for Cohort B, this is the first week of March.

How you can help

Throughout the year, the Alumni and Fundraising team keep graduates informed about the survey, encouraging graduates to update their contact details and reminding them that the survey will be taking place.

Along with the emails, we also raise awareness through social media, a monthly recent graduate newsletter, sharing graduate interventions and opportunities throughout the year, and updates in the staff newsletter. This is part of the business-as-usual communications.

In touch with graduates? Tell them about the survey

For this survey, please encourage graduates you are in touch with to take part and to reassure them that HESA is reaching out on behalf of the University of Greenwich. They may also get text messages from ‘GradOutcomes’.

You can contact graduates directly about the Graduate Outcomes Survey up until the survey opens on Sunday, 1 March 2026.

Encourage graduates to update their details

For all future surveys, please encourage graduates you are in touch with to update their details. Graduates can update their details: www.gre.ac.uk/alumni/graduate-outcomes

The Alumni & Fundraising team tag Faculty LinkedIn pages, Instagram accounts and Facebook pages, so please reshare on your official as well as your individual social media channels.

About the survey

The survey asks graduates what they are doing 15 months after completing their degree and some more subjective questions about how they feel about their current situation and general well-being. There’s a core set of questions that they’ll need to answer so their response can be used, but in total the survey should take about ten minutes to complete online.

The survey is important for many reasons. Graduate responses will be crucial in allowing current and future students to make informed choices and help us to evaluate and promote our courses. They will also contribute to the university’s position in the league tables, provide sector insights and highlight trends in the graduate job market.

For a full and accurate representation of the success of our graduates in finding good jobs or progressing to further study, we need them to be aware of the survey and to have accurate and up-to-date contact details.

You can find more information about the survey on the Graduate Outcomes website: https://www.graduateoutcomes.ac.uk

Join a GOS info session for staff

Over the next few months, the Employability and Alumni teams will be hosting sessions that go over the Graduate Outcomes Survey in more details.

We hope these sessions will provide colleagues with the tools to reach out to their graduates and encourage them to complete the survey within HESA guidance. Please look out for these if you wish to find out more about Graduate Outcomes Survey.

If you have any questions, please contact us on alumni@gre.ac.uk.
