The 2021 Times Higher Education Global Impact Rankings has this week revealed that the University of Greenwich is ranked 11th worldwide in the category of reducing inequality.

Reducing inequality is one of 17 areas that THE look at when determining the rank of an institution. These 17 categories are drawn from the UN’s Global Sustainability Goals (SGDs).

The Reducing Inequality ranking focuses on universities’ policies on discrimination research on social inequalities, commitment to recruiting staff and students from under-represented groups. Figures that are measured and considered include the number of first-generation students, international students at all degree levels who are from low or lower-middle-income countries, as defined by the World Bank as well as the number of staff and students with disabilities.
