Student Wellbeing Services is encouraging students to attend Real Life Addiction Stories, a free online webinar taking place on Wednesday 26 August 2026 at 1.15pm. Hosted by Dr Brian Pennie, writer, corporate speaker, mental health advocate and lecturer, the webinar will explore the turning points that can lead to addiction, and the journey of rebuilding and recovery. Joining Dr Pennie will be special guests Tony O’Reilly, an IACP and ACI-accredited addiction counsellor, and Anne Pennie, a trainee psychotherapist. Together, they will share real-life insights and discuss the role that work, family and community can play in supporting recovery.
