Running from 12–26 August 2025, the programme invites students aged 18+ to study on a historic London campus while developing academically, professionally, and culturally. Fees are £1,800 for partner-university students and £2,000 for non-partners, including on-campus accommodation and meals. Activities & cost breakdown
The Global Greenwich Summer School offers a rich mix of academic, cultural, and social activities, giving students an authentic experience of studying at the University of Greenwich and living in London.
The programme includes:
- Welcome and orientation events on the Greenwich campus
- Guided campus and library tours at the University of Greenwich
- Academic taster lectures in subjects such as business, law, psychology, and finance
- Employability and CV-building workshops
- Visits to iconic London locations including Greenwich, Westminster, and the South Bank
- Cultural experiences at museums, galleries, and historic sites
- Thames river boat trips and guided walking tours across central London
- Day trips outside London, including seaside or cultural excursions
- A varied social programme featuring movie nights, karaoke, group dinners, and farewell events
What’s included in the programme fee:
- On-campus accommodation
- Weekday breakfast and lunch
- TfL travel cards for weekday transport
- Additional meal vouchers
These activities are designed to help students explore London, build academic and professional skills, and connect with peers from around the world in a welcoming, international environment. Activities are indicative and may vary from year to year.
Support
To ensure students feel supported throughout their time at the Global Greenwich Summer School, we provide a range of practical and welfare services before and during the programme.
Support includes:
- An official invitation letter issued once the full programme fees have been paid
- A pre-departure information webinar to help students prepare and address any questions prior to the start of the programme
- Ongoing support via our dedicated inbox, with prompt responses to all student queries
- Airport pick-up service on arrival in London
- 24/7 concierge support available at the on-campus accommodation
- A staff member always presents at each activity to provide guidance, supervision, and on-the-ground support
- A dedicated WhatsApp group, set up prior to arrival, to share important information, updates, and support throughout the programme
- Guidance and recommendations on areas to explore during free time, including local attractions, shopping, and cultural sites
Please note that medical insurance is not included in the programme fee. However, in the event of a medical emergency or health concern, our team will support students in booking a private medical appointment if required.
Our aim is to ensure students feel safe, informed, and well supported so they can fully enjoy their academic and cultural experience in London.
Certificates & recognition
The Global Greenwich Summer School is a non-credit-bearing programme that recognises every student’s commitment, engagement, and growth. All participants who successfully complete the programme will be celebrated at a certificate ceremony, receiving a Certificate of Participation, with outstanding students also awarded a Leadership Certificate for exceptional initiative, teamwork, and leadership. The programme concludes with a celebration dinner, bringing students together to reflect on their achievements and mark an unforgettable academic, professional, and cultural journey at the University of Greenwich.
