Clearing
is underway at the University of Greenwich!
Phone lines and live online chat opened at 6am this morning to help students receiving their exam results to find their perfect course.
Claire Chalmers, Head of UK Recruitment, said: "We know that clearing can be a worrying time for students and their supporters, but we've worked hard to take the stress out of the process. All prospective students need to do is give us a call with details of their results, UCAS ID number and an idea of the course they'd like to study. Our helpful staff can then advise on suitability and availability and we have a handy online course finder tool too."
Raphael Bobie, founder of Help the Youth foundation and a graduate of Greenwich, found his place through Clearing.
He said: "It was pretty straightforward, more so than the initial process of actually applying for uni. Once they made me the offer – the rest was history!"
This year, students offered a place through clearing on results day can also win one of 15 zone 1-6 Oyster travel cards, worth £1,733 each.
One student's name will be drawn every hour at random from when lines open until they close at 8pm.
