World University Rankings - Greenwich subjects amongst world’s best

Several University of Greenwich subjects are ranked amongst the best in the world in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

Several University of Greenwich subjects are ranked amongst the best in the world in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

The results were published yesterday for four subjects: Business & Economics, Social Sciences, Law, and Education.

Greenwich was ranked in the top 400 globally in the education subject results and the top 500 in the social sciences and business and economics rankings.

Vice Chancellor of the University, David Maguire, said: "I am very pleased to see that our commitment in Greenwich to excellent teaching and research is continuing to move us up the global university rankings.

"Whilst this is very welcome, we are always keen to improve further, and will continue to a focus on giving our students the abilities to excel in their chosen fields."

Rankings are made based on thirteen performance indicators grouped into the areas of teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income.

Greenwich improved on its position last year in four out of the five areas of assessment, with significant improvement in research and international outlook.

Full rankings are available for Business and Economics, Social Sciences and Education on the TES website and other subject rankings will be released later in the year.
