Dr Alei Duan
Senior Lecturer in Business and Executive Education
Dr Duan joined the University of Greenwich in October 2023. He began teaching and supervising Data Science students within the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences (CMS), before going on to teach MBA students at the Executive Business Centre. Dr Duan was awarded his PhD in Econometrics by Anglia Ruskin University, UK, and holds an MSc in Business and Economic Forecasting from Kingston University, UK.
Dr Duan’s teaching and research reflect both his academic and industry background, bringing substantial professional experience into his academic work. His research has focused on Machine Learning, with applications in Banking and Finance. He has been actively engaged in the development of predictive AI models, integrating cutting-edge AI modelling research into his teaching. He is passionate about impactful knowledge exchange and research-informed teaching, particularly within business and executive education.
