Alexandra Stroleny joined the University of Greenwich in November 2018. Prior to this, she worked as Researcher at the National Centre for Social Research (NatCen).

She obtained her PhD at King's College London in 2018. Her doctoral thesis examined the impact of distinct national institutional contexts on the human resource management (HRM) practice of performance appraisal, with a focus on public sector hospitals and nurses.

Before and during her PhD, she was involved in a range of research projects, most notably two EU-funded comparative research projects on the impact of austerity and the role of service users in shaping HRM practice.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, she also taught a variety of undergraduate modules at King's College London.
