Dr Alexandros Parginos
Lecturer in Management Accounting
Alexandros Parginos is a Lecturer in Management Accounting in the School of Accounting, Finance and Economics at the University of Greenwich. Prior to joining Greenwich, he worked at the University of the West of England (UWE) and Brunel University London. He holds a PhD from the University of Essex. He has extensive experience in higher education, including leading accounting programmes and modules, teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and supervising undergraduate, Master’s and doctoral students.
Alexandros’s research interests include sustainability accounting and accountability, management accounting and organisational control, emotional labour and workplace dynamics, and critical and interdisciplinary approaches to accounting. He is a Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA).
Responsibilities within the university
My responsibilities span teaching and assessment across Accounting and Finance programmes, alongside supervising undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations. I support students throughout their studies while contributing to curriculum and module development to ensure an engaging and research-informed learning experience. Alongside my teaching responsibilities, I undertake research and scholarly activities and contribute to the wider academic and administrative work of the School and University.
