Dr Hai Nguyen BSc, MA, PhD, CHE

Associate Professor in Tourism and Events

Dr Hai Nguyen is an Associate Professor in Tourism and Events. Prior to joining the University of Greenwich, she studied and worked at Hue University (Vietnam), The School of Travel Industry Management (USA), NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands), the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong) and Macau University of Science and Technology (Macau). She has international academic experience and enjoys working with colleagues and students from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Dr Nguyen’s current research focuses on tourist behaviours, Vietnam tourism, heritage tourism, special events and festivals, and destination management.

Responsibilities within the university

Dr Nguyen's responsibilities within the University include:

  • Involved in teaching a range of courses for events and tourism management programmes, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Dissertation supervisor and personal tutor.
