Dr Nguyen completed his PhD in Big Data Analytics and Supply Chain Management at University of Greenwich in 2019. He had been Associate Professor in Brunel University London for several years before returning to Greenwich as a key researcher for the Horizon Europe Project – CIRCUBATT.

Dr Nguyen has been publishing widely in several top international journals in the field of Circular Supply Chain and Machine Learning. In 2022, he won the EURO award for the Best Paper in Theory & Methodology by The Association of European Operational Research Societies. Apart from academia, Dr Nguyen is also an active entrepreneur with many years of business experience across different UK sectors including technologies, real estates and beauty sectors.

Responsibilities within the university

  • Support the project work package leader by ensuring all deliverables are completed on time for internal and external review before final submission to the European Commission.
  • Proactively initiate and lead research, including stakeholder identification and engagement, to ensure effective collaboration and alignment with project objectives.
  • Contribute to the writing of assigned reports in collaboration with the project team.
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities by actively analysing funding calls that match the team profiles.
