Dr Puspa Jirel DBA, MBA, BSc Hons

Lecturer in International Business Management

Puspa completed her DBA from the University of the West of Scotland and started her academic career in 2021. Puspa worked as a Business Management lecturer at the London School of Science and Technology before joining the University of Greenwich. As an experienced business owner for six years, she knows how to run a small business.

Being kind, humble, and real with people is something she strives to do. Her passion for life and desire to learn from it inspires her to do all that she can in life.

Research / Scholarly interests

  • Her research interests include social entrepreneurship, sustainability, and circular economy.
  • The focus of her research is on the role of social entrepreneurship in sustainable development in Nepali communities.
  • In addition to presenting her findings at conferences and seminars on social entrepreneurship, she organized the first UWS London Campus Series seminar inviting Nepalese social entrepreneurs.
  • Puspa is a member of the Social Enterprise Alliance (SEA) and recently attended the Summit of Summits: Business as Unusual.
  • She is also a member of the Scholarship Excellence in Business Education (SEBE) at the University of Greenwich.
