Dr Tam Phan
Dr. Tam Phan is a distinguished scholar and practitioner in business, marketing, digital marketing, and entrepreneurship. Since January 2023, she has served as a lecturer and MBA supervisor, mentoring both undergraduate and postgraduate students—a testament to her dedication to education and academic leadership.
Her research, “Breaking Barriers: Unveiling Motivations, Challenges, and Policy Recommendations for Women’s Entrepreneurship in Vietnam,” was published in the Journal of Asia Business Studies and cited by APEC, reflecting its influence in the field. Bridging theory and practice, Dr. Tam has earned recognition for her contributions to academia and industry alike.
Holding a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of the West of Scotland (UK), along with an MBA and a Master’s in International Marketing, Dr. Tam has taught business courses at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) and The School of Information Risk Management before joining the University of Greenwich. Her professional journey began in digital marketing, entrepreneurship, and business management, where she held leadership roles, gaining extensive industry expertise.
As a non-traditional educator, Dr. Tam brings a dynamic, real-world perspective to the classroom. Her unique blend of academic rigor and hands-on experience enables her to deliver engaging, practice-driven learning. Known for her innovative teaching methods and commitment to curriculum development, she fosters an interactive and impactful educational experience for her students.
Responsibilities within the university
I teach full-time and support students through both classes and one-to-one guidance. My work also involves shaping the curriculum, getting involved in research, and working closely with colleagues to keep things running smoothly.
