Theivendran Suresh
Senior lecturer
Theivendran Suresh is a Senior Lecturer in Financial Accounting at Greenwich Business School, having joined the University of Greenwich in 2023. He is the module leader for Advanced Financial Accounting (Level 6) and International Financial Accounting and Reporting.
Over his academic career, Suresh has led and delivered more than 30 modules across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These include Taxation, Advanced Taxation, Financial Risk Management, Employability for Accountants, Empirical Research (Level 7), and Financial Management (Level 7).
Before joining Greenwich, Suresh worked as a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader at London South Bank University for seven years, where he taught and managed programmes in financial accounting.
He is an ACCA member and brings extensive professional experience from the financial sector, having held financial reporting roles at leading international banks, including ANZ Grindlayz. During his career, he was recognised with the Best Employee Award at ANZ Grindlayz Bank.
Suresh has also been recognised internationally for his teaching contributions, receiving the CIMA Global Influential Lecturer Award in 2022.
He is currently undertaking a doctorate on “Navigating AI Literacy Among University Students: Skills, Ethical Awareness, and Pedagogical Integration”, reflecting his research interests at the intersection of accounting, education, and emerging technologies.
