Theivendran Suresh

Theivendran Suresh is a Senior Lecturer in Financial Accounting in Greenwich Business School, having joined the University of Greenwich in July 2023. He has approximately ten years of higher education teaching and leadership experience across undergraduate, postgraduate and ACCA professional programmes. At Greenwich, he teaches and leads modules across Levels 4-7, including Advanced Financial Accounting, Strategy and Business Decision Making, Global Banking Management and Practice, Audit and Assurance, introductory financial and management accounting, and Quantitative Mathematics. Since July 2024, he has undertaken programme leadership responsibilities as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Recruitment Lead and Course Director for BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance at London South Bank University (2017-2023).
He is a Fellow of ACCA and a Certified Management & Business Educator. His earlier professional experience includes financial accounting and reporting roles, including at ANZ Grindlays Bank. He is undertaking doctoral research on navigating AI literacy among university students, with a focus on skills, ethical awareness and pedagogical integration.
Responsibilities within the university
- Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance, coordinating delivery and supporting module leaders and professional-services colleagues.
- Oversight of student experience, retention and progression for a cohort of more than 1,300 students.
- Contribution to assessment boards, quality assurance, professional-body liaison and student-support activity.
- Module leadership and teaching across Levels 4-7, with mentoring and support for colleagues who teach and support learning.
- External Examiner for Accounting and Finance at Northeastern University London (since December 2024); previously at London Metropolitan University (September 2020-August 2025).
