Aysegul Kafadar Phd

Research Fellow

Dr Aysegul Kafadar joined the University of Greenwich in September 2025 as a Research Fellow within the Institute for Lifecourse Development. Her research expertise lies in dementia, supported by four years of experience working directly with individuals affected by the condition.

She completed her PhD in 2025 at the University of Nottingham, where she developed advanced skills in mixed methods research through extensive work in dementia care. This is complemented by her background in nursing and a Master’s degree in Public Health and Health Promotion from Brunel University London (2020), providing a strong interdisciplinary foundation for her current role.

Dr Kafadar serves as a Junior Representative of the INTERDEM Academy on the INTERDEM Board—a pan-European network dedicated to advancing early, timely, and high-quality psychosocial interventions in dementia to enhance the lives of those affected and their supporters across Europe.
