Ronan Hill BSc

Ronan Hill is a Senior Research Software Engineer developing research and commercial software for technical and scientific applications. With a BSc in Applied Mathematics and Physics, applies analytical methods to software development problems.

He has worked across startups and large corporations, building software at different scales and organizational contexts and currently develops research software and tools for the Centre for Safety, Resilience and Protective Security (CSRPS), focusing on fire safety research and associated tooling.

Specialising in building usable and maintainable software tools, he has particular interest in using game engines for simulation visualization. This approach makes complex simulation data more accessible for analysis and interpretation.

Ronan works with researchers to translate technical requirements into software solutions, with focus on code quality and long-term maintainability. His experience includes both research software development in academic settings and commercial software delivery in industry environments.
