Camille Santistevan

Camille Santistevan supports research and knowledge exchange activity across the Faculty of Law, Arts and Social Sciences, helping ensure research reaches and benefits communities and external partners. Her work spans continuing professional development, research communications, and the evaluation frameworks that help demonstrate impact.

Academic colleagues can contact Camille for support with developing and delivering CPD courses — from initial approval through to marketing, learner onboarding, and evaluating outcomes — using streamlined processes and templates designed to reduce administrative burden so course leads can focus on content. Camille has a particular focus on evaluation and impact measurement: she has designed survey instruments and reporting frameworks to capture course outcomes, and she welcomes conversations with colleagues looking to demonstrate the value of their research, teaching, or engagement work. She can also help showcase research and knowledge exchange activity through the Institute's website and communications channels.

Before joining Greenwich, Camille spent over a decade in research institution operations in the US. As one of the first employees at the City University of New York's (CUNY) Advanced Science Research Center — a $350M institute — she served as Interim Chief of Staff and Associate Director of Community Engagement, coordinating a major organisational reorganisation and serving as primary liaison between CUNY's senior leadership and the Center's faculty directors. She also secured over $1M in external funding to sustain the Center's community engagement programmes.

She later served as Director of Learning at the Center for Scientific Collaboration and Community Engagement (CSCCE), consulting for research institutions including UK Biobank, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab on governance, research culture, and strategic operations. She also designed and delivered training to 500+ professionals internationally, achieving an average net promoter score of 90.

She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Columbia University and a BA in Political Science from UC Berkeley.
