Mr Martin Grimer HND FHEA

Lecturer in Creative Communications

Martin Grimer has taught at The University of Greenwich since 2018 on Graphic & Digital Design and subsequently on the Media & Creative Advertising degrees. He is a D&AD awarded lecturer and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Martin has over 30 years experience as an awarded Creative Director in Branding and Advertising at some of London's best agencies and in 2011 co-founded his own agency. Over the years, he has built and developed several award-winning creative teams working across some of the most iconic and best loved local and global brands from Cadbury’s to HBO. His entrepreneurial spirit also led him to create and co-found ’Punkbox’ a sustainability and creative reuse brand & product for packaging waste, which appeared on the BBC’s Dragons Den in 2017.  He has appeared on BBC High street Dreams in 2010 as an industry expert and on Junior Apprentice as industry advisor to Sir Alan Sugar in 2011.

Martin imparts his passion and energy for creativity and employability, as well as transferring his skills, knowledge and insights on a number of industry-facing modules which has led to students having direct contact with a number of industry experts, resulting in industry placements and Jobs.
