Our Staff Awards celebration is a key moment in our calendar. This year our awards ceremony will be taking place at the Greenwich Borough Hall and we hope you can join us there.
This is Our Time Staff Awards 2026 is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate your hard work and commitment to our students and each other. We want everyone to celebrate and have a fantastic time at our events, which are all about you!

Staff Awards 2026 - nominations now open
Staff Awards nominations are now open from 29 April until 11:59pm on 15 May. This is your opportunity to recognise colleagues whose work has made a genuine impact, by sharing thoughtful nominations that clearly highlight their contributions. Taking the time to submit a well‑considered nomination is a brilliant way to say thank you, celebrate excellence, and shine a light on the difference people make every day.

Staff Awards Nominations Terms and Conditions
- All staff on contracts (including short term, fixed term and permanent) are eligible to make a nomination, as well as receive one.
- Students, including placements students and internships students, are not able to make nominations or be nominated.
- Members of staff from GSU are not able to make nominations or be nominated.
- You can submit multiple nominations. Each nomination form is for nominating one team or one individual only. Please use a new form for each nomination.
- Nominations should be linked to one of the award categories. The university reserves the right to move a nomination to another category if appropriate.
- Nominations are not anonymous. The nominee(s) may be made aware of their nominator(s) and any submission made on their behalf. They may be contacted in order to provide additional information and validate information put forward.
- Please do not include any personal or confidential information in the submissions. The submissions may be shared with the nominee(s), with faculties or directorates, within the university, or online after the Staff Awards.
- The university reserves the right to publicise the results.
- Please keep a copy of your submission for future reference. Due to the large number of nominations received each year, we will not be able to share the details of nominations with individuals afterwards.
- All staff are invited to attend the event, you do not have to be a nominee or nominator to attend. The event is only for our staff and any plus one for the Partnership of the Year Award nominees. The event is a celebration and a thank you for all staff.
