Student Centres

Your campus Student Centre provides information, guidance and advice to students, staff and visitors to the University.

From the 29th April to 17th May Student Centres on all three campuses will be open from 09:00 to allow students to obtain replacement Greenwich Gateway cards needed during the exam period.

Please note that replacement Greenwich Gateway cards will still be charged in line with current policies and that if a payment is required, this must be made online using the University of Greenwich Online Store

The Student Centre is here to help provide any University of Greenwich student, applicants and visitors with information, advice and guidance to the range of Greenwich services and student administrative tasks. The Student Centre also provides support for the registration process, and services offered by your campus.

With a Student Centre based at Greenwich, Avery Hill and Medway, University of Greenwich students can visit at any of our three locations for support, regardless of where they study where the team aim to answer your queries or signpost you to the most appropriate services or guidance available.

We have a base on each of our three campuses, each offering students the following services:

Occupational Health administration for professional courses

Face to Face Registration for main site students

Issue bank letters

Enhanced DBS checks

Issuing and replacing Greenwich Gateway cards

Issue council tax exemption certificates

Authorising TfL 18+ Oyster and other travel discounts applications

Student record queries

Listening Ears support

Initial international student queries

We also signpost and provide access to our specialist service areas and adheres to a number of Operational Guidelines, Policies and Statements.

Your campus Student Centre is your access point for a wide range of student support services and where most students complete the registration process.

*(at Avery Hill the Student Accommodation Services are based in the Student Village near the Dome and not in the Student Centre)


Contacting us

Should the Student Centre need to close all attempts will be made to communicate this to students using the portal and by the team placing an announcement.  Please note that services co-located within the Student Centre, such as Student Finance, Accommodation and Student Wellbeing may operate different service times.  So please check the specific campus Student Centre pages or the Specialist Services pages for more detail.

This email account is monitored by colleagues within the Student Centre where we aim to answer your query or pass it to the appropriate part of the university.  If you call our Student & Academic Services helpline you will be given options to help filter your call to the best area to help with your query.
