This year we’re looking to recruit 160 Student Ambassadors between 18 September and 6 October – and we’d appreciate your help in sharing information with students.

Last year we had a team of over 300 Student Ambassadors who helped support us across the university.  This year we're looking to recruit again and our recruitment round starts on 18 September, it'd be great if you could share details about the scheme with your students. 

There'll be information for students about the scheme at Welcome fairs and on the Student portal and digital signage, but we know sometimes all it takes for someone to apply is a little nudge.

Student Ambassadors are involved in a variety of projects including mentoring in schools, career fairs and exhibitions, university Open Days, Student Connect, AccessAbility, Care Leaver support and office-based administrative roles.  All of these are great opportunities to make valuable connections, gain references and develop transferable skills such as communication and team working.

This year we are running a single recruitment round between 18 September and 6 October, the full timetable is:

This timetable allows for the Student Ambassadors to be appointed and trained ahead of the Open Day on 18 November, where they'll play a key role showing our university to prospective students and their families.
