Update your LinkedIn contact information, privacy, and communications options
We have seen an increase in phishing attempts which have used information from LinkedIn to make them appear legitimate. We recommend you manage your LinkedIn settings to reduce the likelihood of these scams:
Sign in and security: Review your contact information.
Visibility:Adjust your public profile, who can see your email, mobile phone number or last name, and what others can see about you when you view their profile.
Data privacy: Check who can reach you.
Regularly review your privacy settings

We recommend that you set up multi factor authentication and regularly review your security settings on all your accounts.

Don’t make it easy for just anyone to gain access to information about you. By practically managing your digital footprint you can minimise the security risks while still getting the benefits of sharing and collaborating outside the university.
