Accommodation and campus tours

Take a guided tour of our campuses and accommodation and find out from our students what it's like to live and study at the University of Greenwich.

How our tours work

One of our student ambassadors, wearing a bright yellow t-shirt and navy fleece, will give you a guided tour of the campus you are visiting. At Greenwich Campus, located on a world heritage site. They will show you around the university buildings and then take you to see our Stockwell Street building as well. They'll also show you our Dreadnought Student Hub and other facilities.

Our Avery Hill Campus covers two sites, Southwood and Mansion. Both are located in the 86-acre Avery Hill Park in Eltham, South-East London. Only a short walk apart, these two Victorian sites house teaching, library facilities, student living, students union, catering and sports facilities. Our student ambassador will show you all the key features of both sites, and also give you a tour of our skills labs.

The Medway Campus is a splendid Edwardian redbrick and ivy clad campus, dating from 1903, located near Chatham (and the old Royal Navy Dockyard) in Kent. Tours here include not just a look at the teaching and learning facilities, but also a look at the impressive student facilities to be found there. The campus boasts a mix of social and leisure facilities, including our Students Union Hub, a restaurant in Pembroke building and the Venue café in Pilkington.

All tours include a look at the halls of residence to be found at that campus. At Greenwich, this is Daniel Defoe or Cutty Sark halls. At Avery Hill this is our student village, which accommodates over 1,200 students. At Medway, we have a total of 350 rooms in shared self-catering flats situated within five halls and the tour includes a look at life inside these.
