Why attend an Open Day?

An Open Day is the best way to discover whether Greenwich is right for you. Choosing a university is an important decision, and visiting in person (or virtually) is an essential part of your journey.

Why attend an Open Day?

What to expect at an Open Day

In-person Open Days run from 10am until 3pm across our three campuses. The campus you attend depends on your chosen course, once you have booked your place your ticket will confirm the correct location. Open Days do need to be booked in advance, and only the prospective student needs to register. Guests such as parents and friends can come along too, but they won’t need to register.

We also run Offer Holder Events for applicants who have already received an offer. You’ll attend taster sessions and meet future classmates to help you decide if Greenwich is your firm choice.

For prospective Masters and Research students we run Postgraduate Open Evenings, where you can explore courses, meet academics, and get advice on applications and funding.

You’re welcome to attend more than one Open Day, and we also run virtual events so you can join from anywhere. Our Virtual Open Day will give you the opportunity to hear from our student recruitment experts. You will learn about how to apply, funding your studies and student life. You will also be able to take a virtual tour of our campuses and accommodation and watch on-demand subject-specific content via our student engagement site.

When you arrive, look out for our student ambassadors; they’ll be wearing bright-blue T-shirts – and navy fleeces if it’s a cold day. They will help you get to where you need to go and take you on our guided tours of our campus and accommodation.

Our Open Days are designed to give you a full picture of life as a student at the University Greenwich.

There’s a packed programme of activities throughout the day, including:

  • Subject talks and interactive sessions with lecturers
  • 1-2-1 drop-in sessions with support departments including application and admissions, accommodation and wellbeing and more
  • Sessions by our Fees and Funding and Application Support teams
  • Talks with current students about their experiences
  • Guided tours of our campus and student accommodation.

Campus and accommodation tours depart every 30 minutes.
