Amarildo Pjetraj

Amarildo is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing with a professional background in Emergency Nursing. With over 10 years of experience working in both adult and paediatric emergency care, Amarildo brings extensive clinical expertise to teaching and supporting the next generation of nurses. Alongside an academic career, Amarildo is an active volunteer with the Red Cross and has taken part in international missions, contributing to humanitarian healthcare in challenging environments. Passionate about advancing nursing practice, Amarildo combines practical knowledge, global experience, and a commitment to patient-centred care in their role as an educator.

Responsibilities within the university

  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in nursing and health-related subjects
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments
  • Supervise students during clinical placements and skills labs
  • Provide academic advising, mentoring, and pastoral support to students
  • Mark assignments, exams, and provide constructive feedback

Amarildo Is interested the areas of nursing education, clinical practice development, and evidence-based patient care. Amarildo is particularly interested in exploring innovative teaching methodologies that enhance students’ critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills. Amarildo also have a keen focus on simulation-based learning, the integration of technology in nursing education, and strategies to support the transition of nursing students into professional practice.
