Lakshmi Radhakrishnan Nair
Lecturer in Adult Nursing
Lakshmi has joined the University of Greenwich as a Lecturer in Adult Nursing in July 2025. She comes with an extensive experience in adult nursing specialised in renal and emergency nursing over two decades. Her passion in education and zest to support and develop the future workforce is evident throughout her career roles in pursing educational qualifications and leading changes.
Lakshmi’s professional background has extended across from the care homes to the acute care settings in UK, which helped her to be an integral part of the implementation of the Clinical Nurse Tutor (CNT) Project from NHS England in an acute NHS Trust. In her CNT role, she focused on developing and delivering teaching to the multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHPs and medical & nursing students and evaluating it through a Quality Improvement methodology to evidence the effectiveness of teaching methods in acute settings. She has identified the need for the effective implementation of different approaches of learning and the role of Quality Improvement and Simulation to deliver effective and engaging learning experiences in organisations to enhance patient safety. Her research interest lies in expanding this approach in HEI for adult learners.
She is a Professional Nurse Advocate and supports interdisciplinary staff wellbeing. She is a trained Simulation Faculty and Quality Improvement (CQI) Practitioner.

Lecturer in Adult Nursing
Lakshmi teaches across the Adult Nursing in various modules including Foundations of Nursing Practice, Pathophysiology and Professional practice. Lakshmi is the Academic Tutor for Medway and Link Lecturer for Maidstone and TW Trust.
