Dr Monika Baronak-Atkins

Dr Monika Baronak-Atkins is a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Greenwich where she leads the Equity and Trusts module. During her academic career, Monika has taught various subjects at both UG and PG level, including Banking and Finance, International Financial Law, White-Collar Crime, Evidence, Crime, Legal Skills, Contract law, Land law, Public law and Tort. At present, Monika’s research focuses on Financial and Corporate Crime, Financial Regulation, Trusts, Offshore Financial Centres and Unexplained Wealth with a number of recent publications in this area including a Monograph. Before her career in academia, Monika spent many years working in one of the largest financial institutions in the UK, specialising primarily on financial crime, AML, compliance and asset recovery.
