In preparation for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) the university is undertaking an annual cycle of assessment entitled Greenwich REF Assessment Trials (GREAT).
The University of Greenwich's preparations for the Research Excellence Programme (see REF2021 for details of the previous exercise concluded 31 March 2021) are led by Prof Andrew Westby (Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research & Knowledge Exchange), through the central REF Strategy Working Group, which has the responsibility for overseeing the University's preparations for, and submission to future Research Excellence Frameworks.
