Face coverings are required in university buildings and vehicles
Everyone is required to wear a face covering in our university buildings and vehicles, including our teaching spaces and libraries, unless you are exempt. We also ask you to wear face coverings in university catering outlets except when eating/drinking.
If you are exempt from wearing a face covering please display/wear an exemption badge or lanyard. These can be obtained from our Student Centres.
If you have forgotten to bring a face covering, we have them available on campus, they can be collected from the GSU Welcome Desks, libraries, Student Centres and at security desks.
Getting regular Covid-19 symptom free (LFD) tests
We also expect staff and students who are on campus should get a Covid-19 symptom free (LFD) test twice a week with 3-4 days between tests. This is part of our Covid-Safe Charter.
You can find details of where you can collect home test kits on our Covid testing page.
Reporting Covid
If you test positive, experience the symptoms of Covid-19 or need to self-isolate for any reason, you must let the university know as soon as possible. This will allow us to take swift action to minimise the risk to others and follow the strict procedures in place.
You can do this using the online form on the Covid-Safe Arrangements page.
