University of Greenwich is a popular institution for students from China, with approximately 632 students currently studying on a Bachelor's & Master's degree. You can choose from over 400 programmes across a vast range of subjects, including law, computer science and business. With a total student body of 38,000 students from over 130 nations across the world, you will benefit from a diverse and world-class learning experience right in the heart of London.

In order for you to start one of our programmes, you will need to meet both the academic and English language requirements. Below is a list of our standard entry requirements for most programmes, however, please note that some programmes may have a different entry requirement or require further assessment, such as a portfolio of work or interview. Please see the relevant individual programme page for further details.

Academic Entry Requirements

Undergraduate Degrees (Bachelor's)

For standard entry to our Bachelor's programmes, you will need to have met the following:

  • Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with a minimum average grade 70%
  • English language requirements

    OR

  • National College Entrance Examination (NCEE/Gaokao) with a minimum average grade 65%
  • English language requirements

For advanced entry to Year 2 you will need to complete:

  • Completion of 2 years of 4 year bachelor degree with a minimum average grade of 70%
  • English language requirements

For advanced entry to Year 3 you will need to complete:

  • Completion of 3 years of 4 year bachelor degree with a minimum average grade of 70%
  • English language requirements
Postgraduate Degrees (Master's)

For entry to our Master's programmes, you will need to have met the following:

  • Achieving four year Bachelor with a minimum of 70% for UK 2.2 or with a minimum of 80% for UK 2.1
  • English language requirements

As an international student, you will be expected to self-finance your studies, so before you apply to join a programme you should be aware of the fees that you will be required to pay and any discounts or bursaries that you may be eligible for. The University of Greenwich has developed collaborations in many parts of the world. As one of the earliest UK universities establishing joint programmes in China, Greenwich now has academic partnerships with many Chinese institutions. The Shanghai Office has been assisting potential students in all aspects of the application process since 2003. The representative office provides a complete student support service to help students progress to the University of Greenwich.

The office also helps to create collaborations between Greenwich and Chinese institutions in all parts of China.
