Claire O'Connor DipHe, BSc (Hons), NMP, MSc, PG Cert Clin Ed, QN

Senior Lecturer Adult Nursing

After qualifying as an Adult Nurse from the University of Greenwich in 2009, Claire worked across a range of acute and community settings, including the Emergency Department, ambulance service, and primary care. A special interest in workforce development, education, and advanced clinical practice has led to her involvement in supporting and developing the primary care nursing workforce across Greenwich and South East London.

Claire has undertaken further postgraduate study at London South Bank University, the University of Greenwich, and the University of Aberdeen, and currently continues to practise clinically as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in general practice. Completing an MSc in Advanced Practice in 2023 and a PGCert in Clinical education on 2025.

Claire works as Lead Nurse for Greenwich Health's GP Federation Training Hub, where she leads on nursing workforce development, education, and support for nurses working in primary care. She combines this role with a portfolio career in education, contributing to the development and delivery of programmes for nurses new to general practice and supporting the future workforce through teaching, supervision, and mentorship.
