The precise terms and conditions are contained in the policy documents. They are not intended as a substitute for the Insurance Policy, which should be carefully read and fully understood. There may be conditions which are not specified.

All staff, students and external examiners are covered by the University's Travel Insurance Policy.

All staff travel involving overseas trips or trips in the UK which involve a domestic flight or overnight stay must be registered on to Foresight, the University's  Risk Management and Travel Insurance system.  Staff should also ensure that details of travel for students and external examiners are also uploaded onto Foresight.

Staff, students and external examiners can access detailed information on personal accident and travel insurance cover here.

Please note that the Travel Policy provides cover for travel and emergency medical assistance and advice.  It is not a comprehensive health insurance and anyone requiring this level of cover needs to arrange and pay for their own policy.

The Policy also enables access to the Crisis24 Horizon app for travel advice and security information and allows users to receive alerts for any incidents occurring in your destination country or region. Alerts can be configured by country, proximity, severity and/or category to ensure that you receive the alerts that you need. See https://umal.co.uk/travel-hub/pre-travel-advice for details on registering..
