About the university

The Vice-Chancellor's Office

Welcome from the Vice-Chancellor.

I am absolutely delighted to be the Vice-Chancellor here at the University of Greenwich. We have so many talented staff who really care about the university, its place in the region and about the students who are here.

I am passionate about the powers of higher education to transform people's lives and have seen, over the years that I've been involved, on many occasions how students get to where they needed to get to through the support of staff and the whole infrastructure of the university.

Another of my passions is equality, diversity and inclusivity. I've worked in those areas in all of my career and we owe it to our students that they have an experience that is equitable for all of them.

The power of partnerships is also important and I know that universities can't do anything in isolation any longer. I am keen to understand the partnerships we already have and the scope for developing new partnerships. Finally I am really passionate about the ability that universities have to develop applied research that has a real impact on society.
