Welcome to Greenwich

Getting started at Greenwich - we know there's a lot going on during Welcome so here's a summary of information for timetables, collecting your Greenwich Gateway card, our Welcome Hubs, international welcome and our Welcome to Greenwich page.

Welcome Weeks

Over the coming weeks, we have a wide variety of events available for you on campus and online to support you in starting your University journey: Join WinterFest between 8 – 12 Januaryvisit our Welcome Hubs on each campus to collect your free Welcome merchandise and take a campus tour, or attend one of the many events Greenwich Students’ Union are hosting. Your Faculty will also be delivering your programme induction – find out more here about programme inductions here and keep an eye on your inbox.

Your timetable

The link to access the timetable is https://timetable.gre.ac.uk and this will take you directly to the 23-24 timetable display.

You will also be able to access them from the 'Teaching timetable' link on the ‘My Learning’ tab of the Portal from this date.

Personal Timetables

Allocations to personal timetables have just begun and your personal timetables will start to become available from now but please continue to check the complete Programme timetable using the methods listed above to ensure you have a full understanding of your timetable.

If your personal timetable is not available when you check it is still in the process of being finalised and will appear soon.

Collecting your Greenwich Gateway ID card

You can collect your student ID card and BRP over the course of the next few weeks. Please ensure that you book a slot on our website in advance - if you do not book a slot to collect your ID or BRP card, you will not be seen and may need to return another day if there are no slots available.

Please also ensure that you have completed the online registration and document check stages before coming to campus.

Our Welcome Team are here to support you via phone calls and e-mail to help get you ready for university, including registration and the latest updates on events that will help you settle into university life.

Peer Mentoring Scheme – connect with fellow students

Our Student Peer Mentoring Scheme is designed to help you adjust to university life. When you join as a new student, you'll be paired with current students through the Vygo app based on your preferences.

Enjoy benefits like building a support network, boosting confidence, and receiving guidance during your transition. Stay flexible with informal meetings, and even become a mentor yourself later. Joining is easy - log in with your University of Greenwich email or download the Vygo app.

Greenwich Students' Union

The Students' Union are available on each campus and have a huge range of activities planned for Welcome week. Events are taking place at Avery Hill, Greenwich and Medway from 11th September to welcome you to University.

They also offer support, represent you as students and have clubs and societies for you to join - find out more and view all events on their Welcome page.
