What is Clearing?

We know these are uncertain times right now, but we'll help you navigate them and make the right choice for your future.

Clearing is for:

  • Anyone who doesn't have the grades required for their first or second choice university
  • Anyone who has not applied to university but wants to begin a course in 2020
  • Anyone who has changed their mind from their original choice of course or university.

Clearing opens on 6 July 2020. Once you have your grades, get in touch and we'll help you to join a course at Greenwich.

What can you study?

Most of our courses are available through Clearing. A full list will be available in July.

If you have an idea of what you want to study, this will help our Clearing advisers find a suitable course for you.

What financial support is available?

There are several options to help you with the cost of your studies, including student loans, scholarships and bursaries.

Our support includes a Commuter Bursary, which could help you save up to £1,000 a year on travel costs and can now also be used towards the cost of purchasing a bike. If you apply for our hardship fund we may also be able to assist you with the cost of a laptop and access to the internet.

If you apply late for your student loan after joining us through Clearing, we offer temporary loans to help you get started at university.

Accommodation promise

Our accommodation promise includes a coronavirus break clause and a rent-free period for overseas students who need to quarantine when they arrive.

You can also rent privately in the local area. Our Accommodation Service staff will be able to help.

Student job opportunities

Alongside our career advice and support services, we also offer lots of opportunities for part-time work, so you can earn while you study.
